There are a lot of stables here on The Wire and sometimes, stables can fade into the background while others loom in the spotlight. This special feature is to highlight all the stables here on The Wire. Once a week, we will highlight a stable here in The Eighth Pole. We will highlight the stable's top performers, up-and-comers and other facts. The goal is to fall in love with each stable and the unique flavor they bring to the tracks. We are here to celebrate our diversity.

To start off this series, we are going to open with the newest stable on the block, Bowen Acres.

Bowen Acres Stable

Established more recently, Y12, by owner Sammy Mack, this new stable has had a tough go breaking into the circuits here on The Wire and at GHF, but it hasn't discouraged them in the slightest! They have been growing their string and making their presence known on the practice tracks....it is only a matter of time until these horses break out.

A recent purchase made by Bowen Acres was G5 GS Super Charged, sired by TC Winner Admiral's Revenge. The colt has been racing well and we would predict should soon be winning for his stable.

They have also purchased two well-bred yearlings from proven stable Star Thoroughbreds, Get Loose (Justa Muffin x Loose Truth) and Just a Song (Justa Muffin x Bluebell Sonnet).

Other horses running for this stable are Gamble on Peace, Bowen Arrow, Sea Siren and Spirit of Joy. A lot of work is being put into the establishment of this stable and if Sammy Mack keeps up this caliber of work, well....I think we may have a new growing force to be reckoned with on the track.

Their breeding records for Y12 also shows that they mean business. Queen's Honesty is a Truth Be Told x Royal Perfection filly. Other foals bred by this stable are Passionate God (Tempered Passion x Dark Goddess), Flashing the Declaration (Flash Limits x Declarate) and Imitation's Love ( Imitation Black x Katerina's Love). As you can see Bowen Acres is getting heavily into the game and will definitely be a stable to be on the lookout for in the upcoming years.

If the quality of the effort doesn't wane...you can be sure Bowen Acres can become another major name on the tracks, but only time will tell.

Oak Hill Farm

Here is a name that everyone knows, but has recently returned from a mysterious hiatus, Oak Hill Farm. Owned by Millie Daveys, this stable is getting back into the swing of things on tracks both here and at The Wire.

Since Oak Hill's return, they have been busy improving and updating their stock. Slowly they are building up their stock in experience to be real track threats. One horse running for the Oak Hill Farm silks is Arlequinn. This juvenile colt is running solidly in his races. Though not as well known as the other top juveniles, this will be a colt to take into consideration as he gets his experience under his belt. He was last seen running in June of Week 3, so we are expecting that Oak Hill is working diligently with this colt for his next track appearance.

Two Year Old Arelquinn

Other horses racing for Oak Hill are Daydream (G5), Lumeria - a True Enough Filly (G5), Shot of Mocha (G5) and This Means War - a Native Flame Colt (G5) among others.

Jumping back into the game of racing can be intimidating and the first few months can be quite discouraging, but Oak Hill is toughing it out and it can only be to their benefit. They are putting in the time, taking the hard knocks and I am predicting that it won't be too long until we normally see Oak Hill Silks in the Winner's Circle.

Oak Hill has also had a returned horse come home, Livin 'the Jazz. This black colt has just won for the stable after being in a second place rut and you can be sure that this will be a colt to take into consideration when entering your horses against him.

Breeding wise, Okay Hill hasn't wasted any time getting back into the business, a smart move to be looking to their future. Within their Yearling ranks there are some impressive horses. Dare to Impress is a HoF Impressario x HoF Dare to Dream filly. This filly has a lot going for her, being out of two Hall Of Famers. There is also Dreaming of Glory (Bank on Glory x Once Upon a Dream), and Striking Darkness (Prancing in the Darkness x Striking Motion). Their weanlings are just as impressive. In their weanling line up they have Baciami (Comeuppance x Cute Italian), Heart of Rio (Aces Diamond Rio x Kiss the True Heart), Starlite (HoF Pegasus Wings x Once Upon A Dream), Take Flight (Merry Bay King x Flying Loose) and Tiny Dancer (Prancing in the Darkness x Kiss the True Heart).

As you can see Oak Hill will be bringing new quality to the tracks and we couldn't be more excited to see the level of competition they bring once again.

Akita Rose Stables

Akita Rose Stables isn't new to the game here on the tracks, but through various unfortunate events, ARS has struggled to reassert themselves on the track. Their initial return was at the end of Y11 and things were on the up and up for the long established stable when an unfortunate barn fire put the stable's racing string on hold while the barn work was conducted. But back and in full swing, ARS is proving to the track competition to once again respect the ARS string.

Recently achieving great success are ARS' two older stallions, Knight Rousseau - who just broke into Grade Two with his win over Intrepid's Firebird - and Thunderstrike, who hasn't placed outside of the top three in his last six races.

Needless to say ARS isn't waiting to get back into the game. Midnight Thriller is also carrying the banner for ARS, placing in the money for her last eight races. Among the other horses racing in the ARS silks are three year olds Apollo Bear and the less well-known filly Silver Secret. Their juvenile ranks are doing work on the tracks and these will be horses to be on the look out for as they year progresses.

The Y11 yearlings that ARS has up and coming are looked forward to with much anticipation. With yearlings with the blood of horses like The Natural, Akuma Battlecry, Seattle Song, and the first foal of Grade One mare Train Wreck...in Optimus Unstoppable. We're all looking forward to seeing these horses run on the track come Y13.

But, ARS doesn't stop there. They are continuing to look to the future with their Y12 breedings. There are a lot of Night Stalker babies in this crop, as rumor has it, it will be this black stallion's last year at public stud, with one breeding being given out in Y13. The Y12 crop is also boasting the lines of Sun Chaser a Djerba mare, Jazzman an RS Jury Duty stallion, Confinanza, Dancing in the Firelight, Queen of Hearts and many more.

Quality is once again starting to pour forth from the doors of ARS and I think we can speak for everyone, when we say that we're glad to have this classy competition back and on the tracks again.

In Stride Racing

Formerly known as Serendipity Hills, this stable has been a consistent presence on The Wire tracks. They have some surprises in their racing string and we are eager to see how they progress throughout the racing season into next year.

One filly in particular has really stood out and had quite a turnaround season and her name is Mizadori. This three year old has run a solid season for In Stride and will be a filly to watch in the classic distance races in Y13.

This chestnut filly isn't the only thing they have going for them. In their ranks is another chestnut filly that has been flying over the sprint courses: Tears Of An Angel. This sprinter is a juvenile filly that is a grade two with ten wins. A major accomplishment for any juvenile horse. This will definitely be a filly to watch in the upcoming racing year.

In Stride is definitely carving out a name for themselves and will be a place to watch with eager eyes.
